More Harvest Midweek cycling...

Been a lovely week weather wise. cool south easterly winds and first signs of Autumn with Horse Chestnut and Sycamore tree leaves starting to turn,
Been cycling daily, commuting and harvest field cycling in the evenings...

Fields around work have not been spread with any compost materials, some of which is a bit smelly!...

Working on the hill means i can spy all the fields that can be cycled and daily been doing a similar loop each evening...

Thursday and combines were out everywhere, Wheat being harvested all week, their dust clouds seen all over the county from up on the hill,

Drew was out so i would go see him for a hurl in the combine later...

Another glorious evening. again i took the ECR, perfect bike for riding fields now with no derailleurs to bung up with straw.  It is such a comfortable bike to ride, it fits me like a glove...

Dry with no rain this week there was a lot of dust behind the grain trailers, yep, dust in Scotland!....

At Seacliff thousands of Gannets feeding is always a great sight...

Then the magic hour of sunlight...

A cloud bank to the west would mean no long red sunset sky again,  need to wait to late Autumn, winter for that...

Some amount of grain this year...

As the sun set i got the foot down and raced across to Whitekirk to catch the combine before it finished the last field of Wheat...

Hopped in just as it was lighting up time...

Last bit and all done!,

Blooming camera on wrong setting for night pics!...

Been great seeing this machine working. Many other combines were still working when i rode home at 9pm, the countryside humming to the drone of them, grain in the bike lights at the road side,  i love harvest,
Be more field cycling this weekend and watching the Total Warrior event which will be a laugh...

More soon...
